Best of 2015!

I was inspired by fellow photographers to gather up some of my favorite images and moments from 2015. As I began to create this post, I realized I just finished up my 10th year of wedding and portrait photography! I've photographed almost an entire year of weddings if you lined them up one after another. Can you believe that? A year of experiencing some of the most important moments in people's lives, documenting their most treasured family and friends, capturing tears of joy, and tears of sadness, seeing people in their most true and honest states... I've been there for so many incredible moments. I truly love my job and the access it gives me to people's lives, emotions and connections. It's an incredible thing I get to do in my life, it teaches me so much. I also get to travel and explore. My job has brought me to snowy mountain tops, and remote Mexican villages. I've been to the desert and photographed in Manhattan. I have seen some of the most incredible places along the way. I've been to the courthouse for a simple ceremony, and I've documented 500-guest weddings that fill ballrooms to capacity. I've laughed so hard and cried too as I'm welcomed into incredible and moments and asked to capture it all before our faulty memories fade. Thank you to all of you who have hired me, welcomed me, and to all of the people who have followed and supported my journey with this company of mine. I hope to always be trusted and wanted to document such fleeting and beautiful moments in this world. The following 100 images are a mix of my favorite moments, portraits, weddings, couples and families captured in 2015.  As I collected and sorted these, I thought about ways to describe my year. It was filled with amazing couples and families, including several repeat customers who have hired me time and again as they expand their families. There was so much joy and excitement around same sex weddings this year (including my own!!), and I was able to capture several! I also noticed a theme in silhouettes, sunsets, and tons of toasting and laughter. I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I did today as I put this all together.

Heres to an incredible 10th year of Honeysuckle and on to another in 2016!
